Nymfont Showcase: The Beautiful Typeface Designs of Lauren Thompson
Who is Lauren Thompson?
Lauren Thompson, started Nymphont a digital type experiment in 2008. Which has grown to showcase not only her thoughts and Inspirations but to show off her great Typeface designs. (It’s important you recognize the licensing requirements for each font.)
Here I would like to show the Design Juices community the works and styling of Laurens great fonts, they are available to download, (both on DeviantART + DaFont.)
Be aware of Lauren’s own site http://www.nymfont.com which she showcases these fonts as well as her inspiration and other design articles.
Licensing Requirements!
In simple terms: Fonts are free for personal use. Commercial use requires a PayPal donation which can be made to nymphont@yahoo.com. Email me at that address as well if you need assistance. Read the entire Terms of Use prior to downloading for the specific terms, as upon downloading the terms specified therein apply. Terms of Use Found here.

Sachiko Script
The “Sachiko,” was Laurens first script font. It has been said to inspired by all the lovely French scripts that have come before, and has been named after a high school friend of Lauren’s.
Jolly Font Family
The Jolly Font Family, is another of the resulting typefaces from the experiments in sans-serif.
LT White Fang
Capital letters feature spider and web details, lowercase letters are plain.
LT Chickenhawk
Font contains 193 characters in 11 ranges, so numbers, punctuation, and accents are all covered,. single case font, capital & lowercase letters look the same.
LT Oksana
Lauren describes this font to be “Being my first sans-serif styled font design ever, it is one my own personal favorites, and I am very proud of it! It has been categorized as “retro,” however, I did not intentionally design it as such. I just wanted to make a sans I liked and included various aspects to it’s design that I have always liked. Apparently I like art-deco!“
LT Nutshell Library
Lauren describes this as a ‘cute’ small-capitals font was inspired by the lettering seen on Maurice Sendak’s, ‘Nutshell Library book set.’
Caviar Dreams
This font has over 300 glyphs so it contains all traditional punctuation and more plus extended ranges of accent and special characters.
Cupid de Locke
This is a fun rendition of my Happy Phantom font where heart accents have been added. Contains 333 characters.

Instructions to Download the Fonts
- To download fonts click the “Download ” link.
- To preview a font and for more details about a font click the “View More” link or the font’s display image
- To install, right click on the downloaded zip file and select “Extract Zipped Files”
- Go to your Windows “Fonts” folder
- From the “File” menu select “Install New Font”
- Choose the folder/drive where you extracted the zip files
- When font names are listed click “Select All” then “OK,” to complete installation
