Always keep on top of what new things are going down in the design world. These articles are all hand picked and were great in keeping my design juices flowing.
After seeing a tweet from Design Juices last month regarding their June wallpaper, I decided to very cheekily ask if I could design the July version. Jared Thompson, who operates the blog, very kindly allowed me to contribute July’s wallpaper, and below is the final result.
Designed with simplicity in mind, my original idea was to have a simple rainbow gradient with a myriad of effects in the background. What I couldn’t decide on was the background colour - black or white. So, as you do, I decided on both.
There are two options available, one with the calendar, and one without. Also, there are two iPhone versions: one in white and one in black. Both of the iPhone versions are optimized for the iPhone 4, 960*480 at 312 dpi resolution.

One thing has really stood out to me though, I love simple websites. After doing a lot of research (countless hours of browsing “best design portfolio” lists) I came to two different conclusions about what seems to work for me.
