Showcase of Inspiration: Graphic Designer John Williamson

Today we introduce and share with you all the works of graphic designer; John Williamson. First coming across my attention with his great t-shirt designs based around typography and ‘tea.’ John’s designs were a real refreshing part of the online t-shirt world, then delving further into his design portfolio you can see the bright future ahead for this man. Be inspired today by John’s work, here John introduces himself and tells us a little more about himself.

I’m a Birmingham based graphic designer with a love for bold designs, nice typography and tea.

I graduated from the University of Worcester in 2009 with a BA (Hons) in Creative Digital Media – a great modular based degree that allowed me to try my hand at varying media types, including photography, animation and video. Although I enjoyed working within these areas, I found myself focusing on graphic design, particularly having a love for print and logo design.

Currently I am designing in-house for Carillion plc, one of the UK’s leading support services and construction companies. Although I work full-time, I take on as many freelance projects as I can – which makes a change from usually working as part of a massive corporation. Because of my passion for both design and music, I’ve recently started specialising in designing band logos, gig posters, CD artwork and band merch. I also sell my own t-shirt designs (which are available on my website).

I am always looking to get to know cool new people and take on interesting new projects, so if you would like to contact me for any reason whatsoever (preferably if it involves tea) I would love to hear from you.
