Holly Wilson is an illustration graduate coming out of the University of Worcester, it’s a pleasure to begin to share emerging creative talent on the site. Especially of those designers and creatives who are actively pushing their work to new boundaries and not sitting back and hoping they get recognised. Instead getting up and shouting out and sharing their work so people take notice of them.
At university Holly juggled a demanding degree and several creative projects, this immediately has given her a good edge on her piers. This has allowed her to learn to manage her time and leave her well prepared when working in industry. Her work has seen her master skills in the digital through Photoshop, Illustrator & Indesign, but this has never stopped her roots in continuing to improve her hand drawn skills.
Group critiques on live briefs and projects has allowed her to hone and improve her craft and knowledge of illustration, whilst also improving her own critique of other people’s work. The university’s own degree show saw her work also exhibited in the Worcester art Gallery under the title ‘Emerging Artists.’ She has also found recognition in the Ampersand Magazine and Creature Mags online magazine. Her work is now reaching further afield being on show at the NEC Interiors show and has meant her freelance work has expanded to Logo design, T-shirt artwork design and one-off commissions.
