Thomas Finch describes himself as a ‘hard-working, ambitious, tall-ish, black haired, blue eyed Graphic designer.’ A designer who loves to challenge the world around him he is currently heading into his final year at Staffordshire University this September. Not content with still working on his studies Thomas won a D&AD award in my second year for a project to promote why rain is good in Britain.
Every year it seems apparent that being a designer is what I was supposed to do, and I can’t see myself doing anything else. I enjoy my work and love to make other people happy. Within the social group and normally the one who makes others laugh and confident within big groups. I still get nervous when giving presentations, but I know the reason for nerves is because I always want to do my best.
I started my studies at New College Nottingham (NCN) Adams College and earned myself a DDD B-Tec National diploma in Graphic and 3D Design. I then went onto a BA (Hons) Graphic Design degree at Staffordshire University where I have been for two years now and ready to start my third year this September 2012. I hope you enjoy my portfolio to date and with one year left to study I aim to create some innovative work that shall make me stand out to potential employers. I always strive to create work that no one else has done before and approach each brief differently.
I have won a D&AD award in my second year for a project to promote why rain is good in Britain. The solution was that rain “brings people together”, showing that even in the worst condition Brits can get along, and this is my best achievement to date and aim to win some more during my third year. Feel free to visit my site or even download my portfolio also don’t hesitate to contact me, even if it’s just to say hello.
