Graphic Designer Showcase; Hayley Jones
Today we share the work of freelancer and accomplished graphic designer, Hayley Jones. A graduate from Liverpools John Moores University, she has completed her first job and now freelances full time for herself.
I am a 26 year old Freelance Graphic Designer. I graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a BA Hons in Graphic Arts in 2008, prior to that I had completed my Foundation Arts at Hugh Baird College. Not long after leaving university I completed a work placement in a Liverpool design agency, where I was then offered a job. I worked with the company for three years and now I am working as a Freelancer.
Although most of my work is design based, I have always been passionate about all areas of art and design. One of my first inspirations was Salvador Dalí, it was his work that originally sparked my interest in the art world. One of my all time design inspirations is Storm Thorgerson, most famously known for his Pink Floyd album art work.
I have a huge interest in motorsports and would eventually like to be working in graphic design within the industry. My research project in my final year of university was about graphic design within Formula One, focussing on the liveries of the cars. I have been developing this work since then as it’s something that I still have a great interest in.
