Louisa Jayne is a Textile design graduate of the University of Leeds this past year, since graduating she has gone onto developing her own freelance design business and has a bright future to look forward to.

“I am a textile designer specialising in digital prints. I graduated in 2012 from The University of Leeds with a 2:1 BA Hons Textile Design degree. I am extremely ambitious and since graduating I have started my own freelance design business, working to specific briefs for various designers and companies ranging from womenswear, menswear, interiors and stationary. I think that the importance of original artwork is essential so I hand illustrate all of my motifs using various media’s such as paint ink or fine liner.

My good eye for colour allows it to be a strong element in my work. I love fashion and my prints are always extremely fashion forward and trend influenced. I am also inspired by travelling and I have been lucky enough to travel around Europe, Asia and I also interned in Sydney for 4 months after graduating.”
