“I love to take inspiration from the natural world and I am always looking out for what could stimulate the next design. I have a real passion for colour, pattern and drawing animals, however I also like to take inspiration from day to day life and upcoming trends. I create designs by taking my drawings and then transforming motifs into patterns using Illustrator and or Photoshop. Keeping my hand-drawn style and handwriting is important because it brings an element me and to my work.
I have recently opened up online stores with Society 6 and Envelop where you can buy products such as phone cases, cushions, aprons and oven mittens with my designs on. I am working on expanding my online stores. My main aim for 2013 is to be signed with a design agency, license some of my designs and become a full time surface pattern designer “in-house” or freelance.”
