“I work full time as a graphic designer for a communications company in Cheshire, but the work is very corporate, so I like to produce my own designs where there are no restrictions. I work mainly with digital design for print but have recently tried my hand at other media such as Lino, pyrography and paper cutting. I feel that paper cut designs in particular suit my minimal simplistic style and have posted a number of these works on my blog and other social media.”
“I am largely self taught and did not get the opportunity to go to University but I did do an apprenticeship as a compositor which taught me a lot a out design and print. I also taught myself to use a Mac as there were no training courses when they first became available!
I’m influenced by many things but try not to follow any particular artist or style but I love retro design, hand rendered work, and anything unusual or with a sense or irony, humour or a twist. Currently I’m working on a series of more complex layered 3D paper cuts that are more involved than my previous flat style paper designs.”
