Today we share the work of Adam Fields from Christchurch in New Zealand, he is privileged to work for design studio; Studio Publica.
‘I’m a designer & illustrator from Christchurch, New Zealand, working for an awesome design studio, Studio Publica. With my work, I’ve a tendency to drift towards hand-lettered typography, and custom illustration whenever possible; often creating characters and scenes within my work, I strive to create total experiences for the viewer -my job being not only to enhance whatever project I’m working on with visuals, but to tell it’s story through my design & illustration.
I began as a self-taught freelancer, before I did a Diploma in Graphic Design at Natcoll, School of Design Technology, where I not only learnt technical skills related to the print industry, but I took the time to develop a love of hand-drawn type, and I branched out in my illustration -and before I had even finished the course, I was hired by the design studio I currently work for.’
‘Currently I’m doing all sorts of crazy design & illustration projects for Studio Publica -one of my favourites being a series of illustrations I did for Underground Coffee Company, for the range of Single Origin coffee beans that they offer. I’m also a co-founder of the typography website; typebrothers.’
