Sarah Boxall recently graduated from Winchester School of Art after doing a degree in Fashion and Textile Design. ‘My chosen specialism was print design, which enabled me to explore my passion for surface pattern through both traditional and digital techniques.’
‘My designs always start with detailed drawings and paintings, usually using gouache or acrylic paint. These are then translated into line drawings so I can incorporate them into my screen-printed designs, and scanned in so I can manipulate them digitally. I’m always trying new techniques, especially when creating backgrounds, to give me a unique result.
I am currently working on setting up my own online shop, doing commissions for dog portraits and CD soundtrack artwork, and looking for a graduate job. My dream job would be in interior, stationary or underwear design.’
