Claire Shorrock is a freelance illustrator, currently living and working in Bristol and represented by Advocate Art. She graduated from the University of the West of England with a BA(hons) in Illustration in 2011.
‘During her third year, Claire produced the cover for the fourth Bristol Short Story Prize Anthology, as well as being awarded ‘Highly Commended’ in the 2011 Macmillan Children’s Book Prize, exhibiting the work among fellow illustrators at Foyles gallery in London.’
‘Since graduating, Claire has developed an interest in comics and graphic novels and is a contributing artist to LOAF magazine, a children’s publication featuring collections of short comics by various illustrators. A member of Drawn in Bristol, Claire works in the shared studio, producing illustrations for greetings cards and editorial pieces, as well as working on narrative based personal projects. Currently Claire is working on her first picture book, ‘Magnus’, about a giant dog who is just trying to fit in!’
