Helen Wilson is a a designer and illustrator from the beautiful city of Cambridge, she is a recent graduate of Nottingham Trent University.
‘I had predominantly studied Fine Art until a sudden change of heart meant I ended up at Nottingham Trent University, studying Graphic Design. This was probably the best decision I’ve ever made. I mainly work digitally nowadays and I like to dabble in a bit of everything- from branding to packaging to web design. I think as a designer it’s pretty important to try and learn as many skills as possible and I think for me I really want to show as much variety as I can within my portfolio.
I try and take inspiration from everything around me. I find looking at blogs is a really good thing to do: seeing work from other creatives posted on various different platforms of social media is a great way of staying inspired. It’s always good to just know what is out there and keep yourself motivated.
Currently I am working on a few things including software design for a great little accountancy software company called Accountz Ltd, branding and packaging for a healthier sugar company and I’m looking forward to a few internships lined up in the new year.’
