‘My prints are striking, bold with an emphasis on colour to create beautiful textiles. Designing wearable art pieces including florals, geometrics and abstract prints. I graduated July 2013 from the University of Northampton with my BA final collection winning the Zandra Rhodes Textiles Award, at Graduate Fashion Week 2013.
This collection was featured in Grazia magazine, where I came runner up in the Fash Factor competition and also showcased in the Lanka Institute of fashion awards 2013 in Sri Lanka. Since leaving university I have been able to gain experience from several internships. Working with Zandra Rhodes and George, Asda helped gain a better understanding of the design process for a larger scale company and the production of print and garments. I have also gained the knowledge of online retail whilst working for Harvey Nichols. I am now a freelance designer working with London based print companies such as Keeler Gordon and Jane Bowler whom I have designed the prints for her AW14 collection.’
‘My brand focusing on prints that are bold, colourful and wearable by all. Designing prints that are either abstract or graphic, wearable for any occasion. Creating garments and accessories with a variety of print processes and fabrics. Working along side designers such as Jane Bowler has helped develop my skills in textile production. I find myself being inspired by print designers such as Mary Katrantzou, Christopher Kane and Peter Pilotto.
The current projects I have been developing are for summer prints with a variety of florals and geometrics. Digital printing of fabrics allows me to showcase my graphic and detailed drawing skills, but my passion in screen printing allows be to showcase my skills in a variety of print processes.’
