‘I’ve recently embarked on a 365 drawing a day challenge inspired by the success of David Litchfield’s drawing a day project with the hope of developing my style and a faster process. Its early days but I’m very excited about the future as I can already see development and I’m churning the work out faster than before.
I studied in the UK graduating with a B.A (Hons) in illustration from the University for the Creative Arts in 2011 but I’m currently living in Dublin completing a fetac Graphic design course, another passion of mine. There is a nice balance between two disciplines and they compliment each other perfectly; To steal chekhov’s words Design is my lawful husband and Illustration my lover; when I get tired of one, I spend the night with the other.’
Inspiration I get mostly from animals, documentaries and other illustrators. I love creating mood boards to help my scatterbrain keep track of ideas and compositions; Pinterest has been my latest discovery, which has been a priceless resource for doing that.
