‘Right now I’ve just passed the stressful end stage of ‘university panic’ and long, coffee-filled work sessions. I studied Graphic Design/Illustration at The University Of West London but I definitely found my place in the illustration part. Before that I did an Art & Design foundation course at Northampton University. I suppose that’s where I decided that illustration was for me.’
‘Most of my work before that was inspired by artists such as Dali and Schiele; I used to work mainly with oil paint on canvas but I slowly became more and more interested in the idea of book illustration and narrative pieces. Whilst I’ve been at university I’ve been working on poster design and conceptual illustration. I also like to make my own books/zines – there’s a nice freedom in it.
After I celebrate making it through university alive I plan to keep working at editorial and poster illustration whilst managing my online shop. I intend to keep experimenting; using different media and coming up with new ideas as I do – a new zine is definitely in the planning stage too!’
