‘My specialism is print, and I work with a combination of hand screen print and digital techniques. Screen printing is my main passion, as I love the quality it holds, a quality I feel is so often lost to digital techniques. I enjoy playing around with different textures and finishes within my screen printing to create different feels and qualities, each print is different and unique.
I am mainly inspired by natural form, but I like to put a different spin on florals and classic nature inspired print designs. I do this by working in an abstract and often expressive way, working with mark making so the pattern becomes very organic.’
‘To create range within my portfolio, my most recent collection has a very different feel, and is inspired by Modernist and Brutalist architecture. This collection used much bolder colour and graphic shapes to contrast against the previous natural and organic feeling collections.
I mostly design my work with an interior based context in mind, mainly designing for bedding, upholstery and wallpapers. However I do want to widen this and start to think about applying my designs to other products such as stationary and giftware.’
