University of Northampton Illustration Graduate Robyn Ward

Robyn Ward is a 22 year old Illustration graduate from the University of Northampton.

‘I have been studying as well as practicing Illustration for the past 4 years at University of Northampton and within the next few weeks I will be a fully fledged University graduate out in the big wide world looking for work. Water colours are my thing, although I like to think I can turn my hand to pretty much any type of illustrative work to an extent. Over the past 7 years I have studied on a range of creative courses, from Graphic design to Textiles, illustration to Fine art. All of which have made me an over all well rounded illustrator. ‘

‘My latest project was to set up an exhibition at University based on a ‘Final major project’ of my choice. My work explored the Women’s Institute turning 100 years old in 2015 which turned out to be a a great platform for my unique style of illustration. Over the past month of the exhibition, I have received fantastic feedback from industry as well as winning the ‘4Beautiful work‘ award from ‘Stock Taylor Benson‘ which has really spurred me on to create more beautiful work for people to appreciate.’

‘Stationery design has always majorly influenced my work, as well studios such as Paper & Cloth and artists such as Zoe More O’Ferrall. I create the work that I would love see for myself, I think it is important to love what you create, even if no one else does! I am also a self proclaimed Pinterest addict, I think its so great for inspiration and keeping up to date with the latest design trends.’
