‘My design work has developed from my attentiveness to problem solving, where I prefer to work with creative pattern cutting. Blend this with my time spent in the couture studios at Alexander McQueen and my creations are made up from moulages on the stand, fabric manipulation and a passion for detail.

Toile Development

‘My final collection dares you to “Enter the World of the Curious” to discover a Womenswear Autumn/Winter capsule collection. Delve into gems, beetles and other treasures within the angular folds and casings of the garments. A moiré fabric creates a wooden overlay, overflowing with 3D laser-cut butterflies, hand-cut flowers, and embellished gems and beetles. Aubergine and brown base colours, with strokes of bright pink, green and iridescent embellishment brings an Autumn/Winter colour palette to life. The garments are designed for a woman who craves individuality, quality and attention.’

Enter the World of the Curious

‘I always enjoy discovering rare designers, unusual styles and new fashions, looking everywhere from people on the streets to up-andcoming recording artists. Paul Smith’s quote is always at the front of my mind: “You Can Find Inspiration in Everything – (and if you can’t, look again)”. I am influenced by things right in front of me, whether this involves a new exhibition, an intriguing corner of the world or an evolving news story. I like to take interest in things I know will have scope. My final collection was based on the “Cabinet of Curiosities”, which is a source of never-ending information. I could never get bored of this topic, as there are limitless things to discover and details to learn. If I remain passionate about my concept, I will remain passionate about my designs and continue to put my whole heart and soul into my work.’

‘I aim to continue to build upon my skills within the design studio, gaining as much experience as possible. I love to work actively alongside fresh and exciting designers to learn new skills and techniques. My next step for my own design work is to continue developing ranges based on intriguing concepts. I am currently working on a new project based on a really inspiring concept involving my ambition to travel and discover. I want to create beautiful designs for customers who want to understand the story behind the clothes and the foundation of my inspiration for each garment.’
