Lisa Quick is a recent graduate from Derby University where she studied Textile Design and specialised in Printed Textiles. During the course she worked on hand and digital rendered designs, which she combined for her graduation project, Vision de Fleur.
The idea for her final collection came from her love of prints and mark making. By taking her drawings to Photoshop, Lisa digitally worked her drawings in to a collection of all over, placement and mirror prints to show her versatility.
“I am so passionate about textiles that I want to through myself in and see what I can create. I enjoy the mixture of pleasure and stress when it comes to creating a design I am happy with. I like to see my progression and learn new things about design.
My style is quite bright and feminine, but I do aim to adapt to all areas of print from all over colour to geometrics. A constant aim is to create designs for all areas of design from fashion to interiors and see where my strengths are.”
Since graduating University with a 2:1, Lisa has worked with a German supplier to create two Autumn/Winter 2015-16 collections. She is now on placement in London at Pattern with another placement at George at Asda to follow.
