‘My graduate project concept was inspired by the UK holidays I go on every summer with my family. We always seem to end up unintentionally in harbour towns enjoying the fresh sea air, eating chips and ice-cream on the sea wall, joining in with crabbing and watching the fishermen work. The project consisted of brightly patterned digital wallpapers and screen printed fabrics for interior spaces.
I am influenced by everything around me. I love to be outside, exploring the city, countryside and coastlines. Inspiration is never too far away though, whether it be in your back garden or even your food. Some of my graduate collection inspirations strangely came from Costa coffee cups and sausages from my dinner one evening!’
‘I have just graduated from the University of East London with a first class BA (Hons) degree in Printed Textile Design. Before this, I completed a National Diploma in Textiles and Fashion. College is where I discovered my love for screen printing. I have never looked back since.
Currently, I do not have any major projects on at the moment however I have set up an Etsy shop selling some of my products. This summer, I travelled to North Yorkshire with my family. I gathered a lot of research on my trip so another collection could be on the horizon. For the time being, I am planning on creating products from my printed lengths of fabrics and turning them into lampshades and cushions. So, watch this space and keep an eye on my Etsy shop!’
