Kieran Parker graduated from Bath Spa University with a BA(Hons) in the Graphic Design.
‘I fell in love with design at a young age although, at the time, I didn’t know Graphic Design was a subject or a practice. After taking art in school, I knew that I wanted to get into Graphics for college and university.
A year after leaving school, I went to Weston College and studied Graphic Design for two years. After finishing, I went on to University where I learnt the majority of my skills in the classroom, whilst also teaching myself and taking on personal projects outside the classroom.’
‘Towards the end of my final year, I opened an Art gallery/Tattoo Parlor “Samsara” with a friend. I sold local artists pieces on a commission basis, it was hugely successful as a whole, but I knew I wanted to move back into the Graphical world. Mid 2014, I decided to leave Samsara and get a job at Purplex Marketing, where I work alongside one other designer and an entire team who aim to help companies advertise themselves to their intended market.’
‘In my spare time, along side my girlfriend, decided to take on a “fun” project. We decided that we wanted to launch a T-Shirt store online (I know what you are thinking, “not another one!”.) but we didn’t care, we just wanted to have somewhere to showcase and potentially make some spare cash on the side. I done the branding and the majority of the designs, my girlfriend (Alys) contributed greatly and adds her own designs as well as takes care of the social pages. The niche of the website, is to sell a variety of designed T-shirts (and soon, other items) at low prices (keeping costs down and being fair is what it Is all about!) We hope it will be a success and we hope to grow a friendly and happy fan base in the near future.’
