‘I have a real love for analogue processes and would be lost without a pen! I create my images using a variety of, pen, ink, paper cut and various other printing methods. I then scan in my original drawings to create my final images using photoshop. I am also a very keen photographer and never leave the house without a camera. I like to combine both my interest in illustration and photography to create innovative and interesting images.’
‘A lot of my work and ideas draw upon the theme of imagination and I take a lot of inspiration from children’s books. In children’s books anything is possible and imagination is completely in control and it is these ideas that really fuelled my picture book, ‘curiouser and curiouser’, based on the fantastic ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’.
‘Since leaving university I have been lucky enough to work with some amazing people, assisting on a shoot with Sam Robinson photography, creating illustrated backdrops for a shoot with Bee’s Bakery and most recently designing and painting a full sized set for Tourettes Hero’s Christmas video.’
‘I am currently working on some self-initiated projects to keep my imagination buzzing and my portfolio fresh.’
