Illustration Graduate Jessica Holden

Jessica Holden is a recent Illustration graduate from the University of Cumbria in Carlisle.

‘My illustrations make use of photography and collages which I then turn into 3D sets and edit in Photoshop. I’m inspired by fashion, vintage designs and old movies especially anything with Audrey Hepburn. I often find inspiration for my collages in parks, nature and vintage/antique shops. I think you can always find great textures from old books. I am particularly inspired by the work of Illustrators Helen Musselwhite and Michelle Thompson.’

‘One of my recent projects was an Alphabet book on the A-Z of British Quirks – dedicated to all things British, this was one of my favourite projects, I have created as it aloud me to explore the funny side of being British combined with my love of illustration. When I’m not working on my illustrations I also love blogging, which I do on my own blog and through contributing to the blog Fashion Philosophy and Illustration Friday.’
