‘I’ve been commissioned by Jamie Magazine, Landscape Magazine, Tigerprint Cards, Slimming World Magazine. I’ve been working with watercolours since I was a teenager and find that year after year I slowly improve and that there is no other medium for me!
I tend to paint food (especially fruit) most of all, but I enjoy painting all subjects. I like to see my work in a commercial form such as in print, or as merchandise though recently having started a job in a gallery local to me, I have become more appreciative of art for arts sake and the joy and sentimentality artwork brings to people. I have a range of influences from the classics and well-known such as Degas, Cezanne, Quentin Blake, to more modern artists and illustrators such as Hazel Soan, Judi Whitton, Paul Hogarth, Angie Lewin, Bawden, Ravilious, John Piper… The list can go on!’
‘My current projects are a pet portrait commission, which is always a fun challenge. I’m also expanding my range of items that are available on my Etsy shop and I have 4 pieces up for exhibition in Lovelys Gallery, Margate next month.’
