‘His work is a bold and brightly coloured and often bustling with characters. His work often works best when in context to the wider world, he enjoys taking complex issues and finding visual metaphors to explain them. His process is a marriage of both digital and analogue, relying heavily on a knowledge of print which he acquired whilst at university. As well as making his own prints Michael often re-appropriates found and discarded printed material and subtly uses them within his own work, questioning previous ideas about owner and authorship.’
