‘All my work is hand-drawn and I mainly use an effect called ‘stippling’ to add depth and detail to my illustrations. I am interested in human anatomy so you will probably find a lot of skulls alongside mandalas in my work. I mainly use black ink and rarely use colour, but it is something I plan on experimenting with in the future.’
‘I’ve always been a massive fan of Dan Mumford. After seeing his work in some of my favourite band’s album art as I was growing up, his style of illustration has always stuck with me and continues to inspire me to this day. I also draw inspiration from Richey Beckett and Paul Jackson.
I’m currently working within my personal sketchbook, developing new ideas and taking inspiration from vintage botanical prints and nature. I am also planning on experimenting with lino cutting and printmaking – this is something I’ve always been interested in and would like to pursue in the future.’
