‘I’m a very driven designer; with versatility within my work and ideas. I’m motivated through a love and enthusiasm for design and Print. Ideas are always popping into my head when it comes to a new brief. I’ve experience of Trend Forecasting which is a great help as I use this ability to influence projects. My style is quite versatile with a commercial element to it. It varies from hand drawn and painted to soft digital outlined prints. I feel I have a strong eye for colour with attention to detail.
I enjoy combining different techniques and Medias within my work to create something unique and interesting.’
‘I find inspiration comes from everywhere and am never without my camera to capture it when it appears. Strong influences from nature are shown through my photography and drawings; where all my designs originate from before digitalising my artwork. I’m passionate about print design and techniques from traditional to digital printing. Whilst at University my favourite place was definitely the Print room with the CAD suite being a close second. I love mixing the two areas together and it would be a dream come true to one day have my own Print Studio.’
‘I love the fact that as a Surface Designer; my designs can be applied to a range of applications. Designing across fabrics to hard goods or giftware is something that stirs my creativeness.
My latest project has been creating designs for evening wear; which is a bit different for me as I’m more of an interior print designer. As long as I’m creating a design I don’t mind and I quite enjoy mapping my designs out on models to see how they would look.
I do some freelancing; selling my designs on sites like ArtRookie and Society6. I also have a small craft business Loie&Co where I create handmade cards and gifts using my own designs. I now have a profile on Utelier and am looking for opportunities within Textiles and Homewares.’
