Top 4 Kitchen Trends For You To Steal

The kitchen is an essential part of any house, and keeping it up to date and modern is the wish of every person. Trends come and go; some stay classic and timeless, while some are trendy only for a certain period of time. Talking about kitchen trends, there have been many trends circulating, which add that extra oomph to your kitchen and makes it stand out among other conventional kitchens. To find out what they are, keep on reading.

  1. Luxury Vinyl Flooring

While wooden and ceramic floors are very popular in the kitchen, luxury vinyl flooring is also making its way into popularity. Luxury vinyl flooring gives the floors a wood-like or ceramic texture, but the bonus here is that vinyl flooring is fully waterproof and stain-resistant, which takes this flooring up a notch from wooden and ceramic floors. Wood and ceramic are not the best when it comes to water resistance. They become weak and lose their integrity when they come in contact with water. But, vinyl floors are robust and they resist fluid seepage.

  1. Smart Appliances

As the years are going by, kitchen appliances, fixtures and tolls are also getting smarter and making your life easier in the kitchen. Conventional gas stoves are now being largely replaced by induction stoves, which are powered by electricity. Refrigerators are now equipped with LCD screens to help you make notes, grocery lists, to-do lists, etc. all in one room. Kitchen faucets and fixtures are now sensor powered, which means that water wastage will be minimal.

  1. Dark Colored Cabinets

Cabinets are also an integral part of a kitchen. You might have noticed that up until now, kitchen cabinets have always been muted and light in color. But now, things are about to get darker. Having darker coloured cabinets will add a whole new dimension to your kitchen. It makes the kitchen look accentuated, stylish and minimal. If your kitchen is overly light and muted, then perhaps, by adding an accent of dark coloured cabinets, your kitchen will instantly turn into a trendier space. You can go as dark as you want, but generally, variants of blacks and browns are preferred.

  1. Multipurpose Kitchen Islands

Kitchen islands have been a recent addition in the kitchen, but now they are getting bigger and more functional. Now, bigger kitchen islands are preferred because they are multipurpose. They act as a place where you can dine as well as being a conventional island. On one side, there is the working station and on the other, there is a dining section. This is a great option for a smaller kitchen, as the big kitchen island kills two birds with one stone. Happy remodelling!
